The purpose of the Devereux Foundation is to provide high-quality human services to children, adults and families with special needs which derive from behavioral, psychological, intellectual or neurological impairments. Services will be provided in a caring and humane way to foster human potential and to contribute to the person’s health, social, psychological and educational well-being. Devereux Florida is the largest non-profit provider of mental health and developmental disabilities services to children and families in Florida.
Established in 1987 in Viera, Devereux Florida is licensed by the Department of Children & Families and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Devereux Florida is part of the national Devereux Foundation, established in 1912, which is one of the largest non-profit providers of behavioral health care in the nation.
